Monocle is seeking a full-time Food Supervisor to work at the Monocle café in London. Roles & responsibilities Oversee kitchen employees engaged in serving food, and in maintaining cleanliness of food service areas and equipment; Train and monitor workers performance of duties; Assign and coordinates work of kitchen employees to promote efficiency of operations; Supervise serving of meals eat in and take away Inspect kitchen area (utensils, equipment, storage) to ensure health and safety standards are met; Keep records (inventory, sales, wastage and costs), place orders in line of efficiency and performance, and be contact person to food suppliers; Create work schedules and evaluate work performance of kitchen employees Daily preparation of food and beverages together with employees; Planning menus; Recruit new kitchen employees; Preparing reports and other performance analysis documentation; Reporting to and attending regular meetings with line-manager or head office representatives; Handling customer complaints and queries; Insuring high standards of customer service are maintained.
